Hi I keep getting pains in my stomach and lower back I've seen my local GP and they said it's ibs I thought it could be grumbling appendix is it possible or could it be just because I am over weight?

IBS includes diarrhoea and/or constipation or both, alternating, over a period of weeks. Do you have those symptoms? Overweight is not likely to give stomach problems.
