I'm a 20 year old female with no sex drive whatsoever. Every article I read is about older women loosing sex drive, but I never had one to begin with. I feel like the extreme case...it's not an occasional thing, I NEVER am in the mood. It's causing serious strain on relationships and I just want to fix it.

And you should fix it, but you need to find out what's causing it to be able to fix it. This site http://www.netdoctor.co.uk/sex_relationships/facts/lackingsexdrive.htm has really useful information.
I'm a lot older than you, and I used to have no sex drive at all. Or at least I thought I had no sex drive at all. I had a psychological hurdle to overcome, which I did but only when I found a man I really loved, and trusted.
So you need to discover the root cause of your lack of libido and deal with that first. If you can't face your GP try going to a family planning centre to speak to a dr there.
I hope you find the cause of your problem, you are doing the right thing in trying to fix it. Good luck.

My problem is this 2 yrs ago I had a relationship with this guy, he was completely different to all of my previous partners, in a way that he was very financial also very good at taking care of life's problems, on the downside he was a little too controlling. I ended the relationship, but he would always try and get me back and I would go back. Problem being that he ended up meeting someone and she fell pregnant, he got married to her on my birthday of the year we split. This hurt me beyond repair. We have still been in contact, I feel he is still attracted to me. The point is I just don't accept his marriage I know he wouldn't of got married if not for the pregnancy . I feel like it should have been us that was getting married, he has even told me that his feeling for his new wife wasn't the same as what he had for me. I have found it very hard to move on. I feel very competitive as if I believe I can still win him back. I know I am deluding myself, but its the times when I see him and he still tries to make me jealous and also the way he still looks at me and flirts, I need some advice. I have been on my own for 2 years and feel like I'm missing out somehow sorry about the long long letter.

You ain't gonna like this... but.... When you had him you didn't want him, now someone else has him you want him back? If you go after this man you might get him - but if you do would you really want him? He's controlling. He's willing to flirt with another woman (you) while married to someone else - the mother of his child. He married his wife on their wedding day not on your birthday. When he wasn't with you your birthday is just a day of the week. You don't seem to be able to look at this situation anyway apart from through your own blinkers. You feel like you are missing out somehow? Tough. You made this situation, you broke up with him. He wouldn't have been with someone else to get them pregnant unless you had dumped him. Or is it you that is the controlling one - were you just playing games when you broke up? What makes you think he tries to make you jealous? Your interpretation of a situation is just that - your interpretation. You know what the best revenge on him would be - to be happy. Leave him alone. Leave him alone because 1) he has a child and a wife 2) if he is doing what you say he's really not a very nice man at all. Is he still controlling you? Do you think he gets off on knowing that you are at his beck and call, knowing that he could get you whenever he wants? Why give him that satisfaction? Leave him alone, for you own sake. Stop being controlled.

Please speak to your attorney, but for your own and your children's sake consider having him removed from the house by an order. I was in a similar situation and we all stayed in the house, waiting for it to sell. I could not stand it eventually and left with my child. I lost out greatly financially because of it but at least the health and mental well being of myself and child were safeguarded.
Is there no other way of persuading him to leave? Family or friends?

How do I improve my life? I should be happy with a fantastic 8 year old son and my own home. However I fret constantly over my relationship with my boyfriend (ex-alcoholic for over 2 years) who is very self-protecting, which I totally understand, but sometimes feel everything has to be his way or that is that. I don't enjoy my job and I don't have any friends. I really don't know where my life is going and I don't know how to go about changing it for the better. Feel I am just plodding along.

It's not easy is it? Life with a recovering alcoholic is very tiring, very wearing. You need to have an 'out', you need to be able to escape and do something you enjoy. It's so easy to lose friends when you are with an alcoholic, to lose them or never to make them in the first place. From personal experience I remember so many broken arrangements, missed events and downright lies - not to mention the bad behaviour when we did turn up - that friends just fell away, or were forced away.
Are you able to change jobs? Could you enrol in a course - either to improve your job or a recreational one to meet people interested in similar things? Can you get involved in your son's school maybe - giving you a very worthwhile out of home interest?
Can you explain how you feel to your boyfriend? You supported him through his alcohol problems - he should be there through your problems.
Have you considered that you may be depressed? The wind down from a state of emotional turmoil like you and he have been through can be like post traumatic stress. See a doctor to explain - a short course of medication might lend some perspective. Or try taking St John's wort?
I really hope you find happiness.

If I have been taking birth control for five years now can that limit or hurt my chances of becoming pregnant in the future?

It would depend what method of birth control you are using. Some - like the implant or contraceptive jag - can take a long time to get out of your system. Similarly the pill can take a few months before your menstrual cycle goes back to normal. If you are concerned see your doctor, or use barrier methods (condoms or femidoms) for a few months nefore the time you want to try and conceive.

Could just be caused by a bout of constipation and a small internal tear - but pain and bleeding need to be investigated by a doctor. They'll be able to tell you the most likely cause when you explain your diet, exercise habits etc. Don't be embarrassed, everyone goes to the loo, and everyone at one time or another has problems.

http://www.rheumatology.org/public/factsheets/pmr_new2.asp#1
The typical symptoms of polymyalgia rheumatica (PMR) are aching and stiffness around the upper arms, neck, lower back and thighs. Symptoms tend to develop quickly, over a period of several days or weeks, and occasionally even overnight. Both sides of the body are affected. Involvement of the upper arms, with difficulty raising them above the shoulders, is especially common.
Aching and stiffness are worse in the morning, and tend to improve gradually as the day goes by, but periods of inactivity, such as a long car ride or sitting too long in one position, will cause stiffness to return. Stiffness may be so severe that there is pain at night, difficulty getting dressed in the morning (for example, putting on a jacket or bending over to pull on socks and shoes), or difficulty getting up from a low chair. Occasionally, aching occurs in distal joints such as those of the hands and wrists.

What is Prayer, and how does it relate to the unbelieving?

To me - an unbeliever - praying is still something I do. I don't pray to a god, I pray by thinking of the problem I am facing. If I think long enough about a problem a solution will become apparent. Even if the solution doesn't become apparent, I will have spent calm time thinking about the problem, it'll being to settle into my subconcious, which will then bubble away - sometimes bringing me an answer in unexpected ways - dreams, new interpretations of familiar situations or whatever. If I was a believer I would think this was my prayers being answered. As I'm not I think it's me seeing through the mess and getting an answer. Which is true? I think I know.

Can a sick child with fever take the flu shot?
|
|
Discuss this question

 |
Wouldn't think it's the best idea. Better let them get over the fever first rather than giving them another dose of something to fight. Vaccinations work by building immunity by giving a small dose of the disease - or something like it - to make the body build it's defences and antibodies against that infection. But if you're already unwell the body's defences will be lower and the small dose of the infection will be able to take more of a hold.
So, I'd say wait until the child is better.
