I had a dream last night that I was stood around and I looked down and my belly had grown, I was about 6 months pregnant?! What does this mean?

Discuss this question

Question found in Parenting & Family In General
It could be interpreted a number of ways.....

are you hiding something that you think will get found out ?

are you wanting/frightened to be pregnant?

are you hoping for something - 'expecting' something ?

Or it could mean nothing at all!

How long can a mans sperm live outside the body ?

Discuss this question

Question found in Biology
In the proper environment, such as the female reproductive tract beyond the cervix, sperm have a life-span of up to five days. In other environments, such as the vagina, sperm live only a few hours and even less than that outside the human body, exposed to the open air. So if - for example - there was some on a bed sheet - it would be 'dead' in minutes rather than hours.

How do I make someone I love fall in love with me?

Discuss this question

Question found in Dating
I'm afraid you can't. All you can do is make them like you and hope love will follow. If it's meant to be it will follow, if it's not nothing will change that.

I once had a male friend who loved me, I thought I could make myself love him, because there was nothing 'wrong' with him. I loved him as a friend and though that could be enough. So I married him, and it was a disaster. We both got very hurt, lost even the friendship. So if there isn't the spark there it's not going to work - in my opinion.

Good luck - I hope you find what you are looking for.

I keep having this dream (in different context each time) that I am in love with this boy from my childhood (around 8th grade). I am 34 now and every six months to a year I dream that we are involved in this very loving and caring relationship. Why do I continue to dream about this particular guy in this particular situation?

Discuss this question

Question found in Dreams
I would caution against reading too much into this dream. I once had a recurring dream that a male coworker died in a helicopter accident leaving me completely distraught and grief stricken - even waking up crying. I took this to mean that I had love for him, so we dated, eventually married and then he turned into a controlling monster who broke my arm, and blacked my eye, leaving me unconscious in a locked house with no phone and no way of getting help.

So, I think dreams shouldn't be always considered literally. Maybe this means you are aching for a lost time in your childhood - a feeling of lost innocence perhaps?

How does a 38 year old divorced mother of three find a decent man in today's society?

Discuss this question

Question found in People & Relationships In General
I met someone through my workplace - but was very lucky. I think the best way to meet like-minded people are at hobby type clubs - night classes or the like. Or advertise yourself in lonely hearts - that way you get to vet who you reply to.

Good luck finding Mr Right. Decent men are all around, many of them just need a bit of TLC to turn into a knight in shining armour.

In the Book Gathering Blue What will Jo sing someday to Kira?

Discuss this question

Question found in Books & Authors
In Gathering Blue (Walter Lorraine Books), acclaimed author Lois Lowry presents us with a future world in which only the most rudimentary technologies still exist. Life is harsh and brutish, especially for those who are sick or disabled. Survival is the main thing on everyone's mind, except at the time of the annual Gathering at which the community's mysterious Singer performs the Ruin Song -- a recitation of the history of humankind's innumerable rises and falls throughout the centuries.

The story centers on Kira, a newly orphaned girl. Lame from birth, Kira should have been left to die as an infant but was spared because of her mother's usefulness to the community. After her mother's death, Kira has to prove her own usefulness in order to be allowed to live. Her skill at embroidery turns out to be her salvation: The ceremonial robe worn by the Singer during the recitation of the Ruin Song is falling into disrepair, and Kira has the responsibility of salvaging it. The robe's tiny embroidered pictures illustrate the events described in the Ruin Song, with the exception of a large, unadorned section that represents the future; and Kira is responsible for filling in that section as well.

In her new, seemingly important role in the community, Kira goes to live in the ancient but still grand Council Edifice (which appears to be the remains of a church). Her life seems transformed: She has more food than ever before, running water, and a soft bed. She has two new friends: Thomas, a boy whose job it is to repair the historical carvings on the Singer's staff, and Jo, who is training to become the next Singer. However, as the day of the Gathering draws near, Kira and Thomas make the startling discovery that they and Jo have the ability not only to tell the stories of the past through their respective crafts but also to shape society's future. However, The Council of Guardians will be the ones to determine the future that Kira is to embroider on the Singer's robe, that Thomas will carve in wood, and that Jo will sing. This servitude that the young artists face is brought home forcibly when Kira discovers that, hidden by the breathtaking robe that she has restored, the Singer's legs are shackled

Why do some people salute a magpie?

Discuss this question

Question found in Superstitions
Where I come from you wave at a single magpie to cancel out the bad luck it brings - 1 for sorrow. Sorrow because he has lost his mate. I often search the nearby trees an house roofs to see the second magpie when I has seen only one - they are usually not far behind.

I hadn't heard of the magpie being the devil on earth, but they are very handsome, imperious looking bird.

Has any body ever done a cover version of the classic song Wuthering Heights, by Kate Bush, and is it true she wrote the song herself when she was 14 years old?

Discuss this question

Question found in Popular Music
Your other answers give you most of what you ask but I think they skipped the how old she was bit - she did indeed start writing at 13 and had 50 or so songs written when she produced her first album at 19 but this particular song was written just before the album came out, so she was 19 or at a push 18.
