What are gamm gt levels and can the menopause effect them? |

| I think you mean gamma gt - these are hepatic enzymes - so are what control liver functions. These can be increased by the menopause as the liver goes into overdrive to try and breakdown all the fluctuating hormones around during that time. |

Yes. Hormonal changes in the menopause - or lead up to the menopause - can cause the liver to have to work harder to break down the hormones present. Certainly worth getting it checked up or using some liver cleansing techniques such as fasting for a day a week or taking herbs. |

Anyone from the West Coast of Scotland has very fond memories of Largs and cold rainy summer days eating ice creams in a cagoul on the beach. Fish and chips at Nardini's ( the Italian Cafe ) and spend oodles of your parents cash in the amusement arcades. What a lot of hotly debated responses! Obviously the Catholic church is a christian one, to suggest otherwise is derisory and insulting to millions of people world wide. In purely semantic reasoning every christian denomination that is not Roman Catholic is a protestant. In common usage Catholicism predates other forms of Christianity in that Protestant christian religions grew out of protest against the Roman Catholic church, so yes, it is the oldest - not religion but denomination. |
