Discuss this question

Question found in Personal Health Issues
Nerves. If you have transitory tingling feelings - you'll have trapped or tweaked nerves giving the sensation.

Abnormal nerve sensations such as pins-and-needles, tingling, burning, prickling or similar feelings are all known as "paresthesias". They usually result from nerve damage due to pressure, entrapment, or nerve diseases.

Do you speak English in Ireland?

Discuss this question

Question found in Education In General
Everyone in Ireland speaks English. Some also speak Irish Gaelic, but they will also speak English. You might find the accent difficult to get at first - there are a variety of accents from Dublin to Belfast - and often speech speed can be a problem too. A quick talking Belfast man is not easy to understand at first.

Here's an enigma, or is it a mere mystery?

I have posed a question and rated, and commented to, the responder.

Sometimes if I return to that question later, I find a subsequent responder has provided his own, though incorrect or inappropriate answer, yet has been awarded five stars for it - BY WHOM?

And how do I fix it . . . or what is truth worth?

What are the stages of emphysema?

Discuss this question

Question found in Personal Health Issues
Four stages of emphysema are outlined under the World Health Organization's classification system. Individuals with stage 0 emphysema are at risk for the disease and exhibit a chronic cough and sputum production, though function tests of their lungs are still normal. Those with stage I emphysema have a mild form of the disease. Similar to patients with stage 0 emphysema, they usually experience a cough that will not go away and abnormal production of sputum, but also have developed some limitation in airflow and alterations in their lung function tests. Stage II emphysema is more serious that stage I, but is still considered a moderate stage of the disease. Signs of stage II emphysema include shortness of breath upon exertion and marked limitations in airflow displayed during function testing of the lungs. Stage III is the most serious type of emphysema under the WHO system, patients with this advanced stage of the disease experiencing such severe limitation of airflow through the lungs that their quality of life is compromised and their lung function tests are highly abnormal.

I have had spotting in between my normal menstrual cycle, which is unusual for me, never had this before, I am tired sometimes, if I don't eat at regular times. I sometimes feel sick, (but never am sick). I have no pain, but I am worried as I have had abnormal smears quite a few years ago, ( before I had my children) should I be worried? Thank you.

Discuss this question

Question found in Personal Health Issues
I take it your not pregnant? You should get yourself checked out - any changes in menstrual cycle should be checked out - especially as you are worried because of the abnormal smears.

It'll probably be nothing - but make sure your doctor listens to you and takes you seriously. Far too many doctors write off menstrual irregularities as nothing when they should be properly investigated.

Comments :
oh my god, you dont think iam pregnant do you? that didnt even enter my mind!
