My son has an ex girlfriend (for more than a year now) who will not stop calling and texting him. He has changed his numbers, and had others answer his phones and tell her that it is not him. However she continues to find out his new numbers and constantly call him. Sometimes at all hours of the night. Leaving messages etc. He really wants this to stop but the girl is persistent. Is a restraining order the next step he should take?

Discuss this question

Question found in Human Rights
It probably is overdoing it. If he ignores her and speaks to her and texts her in meaningful ways, making plain that he has no future with her then she will probably just fade away. Going to the law is not very nice. Perhaps someone should speak to her kindly saying that although she is very keen on him he is not keen on her. It happens all the time, and it is overreacting to use the weight of the law against a love struck girl. The law is for when people are being genuinely scared and I think your son and you are strong enough not to be scared. Remember she is a girl at a loss to her feelings for your son, be grateful he has so much girl attention.

Hi

I am a divorced father of two girls aged 6 and 5. I would like to take my daughters to two up-coming family events. My ex-wife is saying I cannot take them to either. Both are in the UK and would require a one night overnight stay on a Saturday/Sunday.

I see my children every week without fail, have never missed a maintenance payment and contributed a great deal since the break-up 3 years ago. My wife last year took the children to Greece for two weeks without me. This is unfair, can I obtain a court order to taker them to the two family events? Please advise.

Regards

Paul B

Scientists have kinda explained where man came from and how he evolved but where did dinosaurs come from, and what was there purpose?

Discuss this question

Question found in Science In General
They evolved. As for purpose, they had no more absolute purpose than any other animal. The eternal question: What is the meaning of life is an enigma.

How many nuclear power stations would be required to fuel the UK's energy needs?

Discuss this question

Question found in Science In General
Probably around 40. Though this would never happen because they would not be needed as we have coal, gas, wind, solar, etc. Also it would be impractical to have more than about 12 due to siting requirements. They need to be away from population, near to consumption of the power they make, near a great volume of water for cooling, outside areas of beauty.

If hair's purpose is to protect the brain from heat or cold, why then do human males lose this?

Discuss this question

Question found in Miscellaneous
Hair is not there to protect the brain. Think about pubic and underarm hair. There is no brain there.

I have a push button toilet fitted about a year ago. My son tends to drop large sized POO into it.LOL. In doing so blocks the toilet. We used to have an old handle flush toilet which wasn't a problem. He would just pump on handle while flushing and it would clear. With the new single button flush it just blocks. Please can you help as the wife is getting so fed up with using a coat hanger as means of clearing the block. If you can help you will make me a very happy man, and the family too.

Question found in Plumbing
Modern loos are designed to have a much smaller water usage. One thing that reduces consumption is to make the loo itself smaller, so the problem you describe is more likely. because of sheer size, the neck of the loo is smaller and less able to pass large POOs. One thing that may help is to see if you can increase the amount of water used by the flush. Some have a means of varying this in case the cistern is used with an old style pan. I don't hold out much hope though. You can get loos that have more water sitting in them and a larger neck, but a low water usage. It would be a matter of purchasing such a thing though. A syphonic loo would do it. You are also allowed by law to install a second hand old style second hand loo if it is to replace an existing one...

Another way is to make SON responsible for his own POO. Make it his job to deal with them, not Mumsy's.

Comments :
Okthanks anyway .Just as i expected really.Shall look at the syphonic loos online thanks again bye !!!

What are the possible penalties for perjury in the State of Illinois? A friend of mine is thinking of lying on an affidavit to obtain sole ownership of a piece of inherited property when it should be shared by a sibling. Could there be any other criminal penalties if his lie were discovered like either attempted theft or fraud? Are any of these possible crimes punishable by imprisonment?

It sounds like your friend is a criminal. It seems to me Mr Brownell's answer is perfectly specific; yes, your friend will end up in jail for several years if found out. Just because you don't like the answer does not mean you can pick holes and give poor marks for it.

Yes, it is normally safe enough to drink, i.e. not contaminated by pollution, however it is salty enough that you wouldn't drink much before the salt in it made you vomit.
