You can't. Even if you can, it would be dangerous. But you can go into a state of deep meditation or BLISSFUL state similar to hypnosis by proper practice of yoga. For this you need long practice under a proper guru or master.

Which language did man first speak? Also how did people first learn to speak in different languages from each other? Who spoke the first English words, who spoke the first Spanish words, who spoke the first Italian etc? How come we all just didn't end speaking in the same language?

No one can authoritatively say what was the language first spoken by man. The guttural utterances of our ancestors developed into languages in the course of thousands of years. During this time they had been migrating or spreading out. Gradually in different geographical locations languages developed differently.
Among the existing, primitive, spoken languages the oldest could very likely be the language spoken by the san people (bush men) of Southern Africa. According to many scholars the oldest of the existing languages with alphabet and literature is Tamil spoken in the southern parts of India.

It seems that white skin would be better at reflecting the suns rays away than dark skin, and so would provide better protection against the sun. Why does skin go darker rather than lighter in the sun?

It is a chemical called melanin in the dark skin that prevents sunburn or tanning. This is absent in light skins and hence tanning.

Take it easy. If you have just met him give him more time before judging. Was it a case of love at first sight? But try to find more about him. Don't allow much freedom till you are more familiar. I don't know your background - religiously. I am a religious person. In such matters I take decisions prayerfully. So, as I said, go slow and I shall say a prayer for you.

How does an electric generator generate electricity? Please explain the physics behind it.

| Question found in Physics |
 |
The principle is: An electric current flows through a conductor that moves in a magnetic field.
In a generator a coil - conductor - is made to rotate between the poles as a powerful magnet. The turbines uses mechanical energy of the turbines to make the coil rotate at right angles to the field. The strength of the current depends on the strength of the field, number of turns of the coil. The speed of rotation etc.

2 men.... The 1st man is kind, loving and caring, has done no wrong only good in is life but this man does not believe in Jesus/God. The 2nd man is a bad man he's stole, raped women and even murdered but this man believes in Jesus/God. So which man will go to heaven and which man will go to hell? The kind, loving and caring man who has done no wrong only good in is life will he go to hell because he doesnt believe in Jesus/God? The man who's stole raped and murded will he go to heaven because he does believe in Jesus/God? Surely this is not right?

I can here give you only what Jesus said about this problem. In Mathew. 25: 30 to 45 Jesus clearly says that those who do good to others will go to heaven. "Whatever you do to the least of my brothers that you do to me." he says. To those who are condemned he will say, "When I was hungry you did not feed me" etc.
From these words of Jesus the obvious conclusion is that your 1 st man will get heaven and the other one hell. Reading Mt. 25 30 on we understand that we are not judged on what we believed or what religion you belonged but on how you treated tour fellow beings especially the least of them, the downtrodden.

Who made God?
|
|
Discuss this question
|
| Question found in Education In General |
 |
Who made God? What was God doing before creation of our universe? How was God born? Does God have a mom and Dad? These are some of the questions that arise out of our misconceptions about the nature of God; because we think of God as if He was a human like us; as if He had a beginning and an end like the creation.
When we mention ‘misconceptions’, the obvious question is, “What is the correct perception of God?” What do we know about God? Unfortunately, the answer is that we know pretty little if anything. Trying to use our intellect to understand God is like trying to empty all the water in all the oceans into a teacup. This is so because God is infinite and our intellect is finite. But we can say this much about God.
1. He is infinite and not limited by space.
2. He is eternal and not limited by time. He has no beginning or end.
As He is eternal He was always there. He was not born at any point in time as there was nothing as time before the creation of the universe. At the creation time and space were created along with matter and energy.

I was shopping at the weekend, I sat down on a bench in the town centre when I heard a man preaching about God. I believe in God but basically what this man was saying that if you don't you'll go straight to hell forever. My Grandad was a lovely kind man but didn't believe. I'd hate to think if this man was right?

Don't worry. I guess Jesus knows better than the man who was preaching at the roadside. According to Jesus we are judged not on what we believe but on how we live. Read Mathew 25: 30 to 45. Jesus says that you are judged on how we treat the least of His brothers. Membership of a religion, faith in a system or creed, attending worship at churches or temples are all means to the end. The end is leading a good life devoted to serving others, being good to others. Reading the Bible all day does not help if you do not practice what is said there. So your granddad or whoever will be judged according to his life. And remember Our God is a merciful God.
