The ancient Rome was part of a very big empire and the Romans were a very powerful people. Rome had conquered large parts of Europe and North Africa and they where very good at battles with their refined fighting techniques. They where well trained to fight, had a variety of swords, spears, shields and armor, had highly sophisticated weapons like crossbows and catapults (like scorpio, onager and ballista) which fired stones and flaming balls, weapons like tribulus or caltrop to slow down human, horse and elephant based enemy troop movements, had mastered the art of building strong fortresses had multi tiered ships called galleys for sea warfare and had an excellent grasp of on field tactical battle engagements. These where highly sophisticated technology when consider the then time period and the Romans where masters of it. |

I am a PC, but I have a problem. In most windows XP there is a part I hate. In the bottom right corner yellow bubbles popup with all sorts of information, and I can not stand it. Ex. I plug in my jump drive, the small bubble appears telling me something about the jump drive. Or I log on and it asks if I want to take a tour of Windows XP. These information things bug the heck out of me. HOW CAN I TURN THEM OFF COMPlETELY?? |

The Balloon tip Notifications in Windows XP can be turned off for all programs by following the below given steps. This tweak needs you to work with Windows registry, so please make sure that you are careful. 1. From Start Menu take Run and type regedit and press Enter 2. Go to the following Key in the registry window. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced You can navigate the registry hives just like you navigate through folders in windows explorer. 3. When you are in the above given key, right click on the right hand pane and from the context menu select NEW > DWORD Value 4. Name the new Dword Value as 'EnableBalloonTips' (of course, with out the quotes) 5. Now double click this new key and give it a value of 0 (Zero). 6. Close registry and restart your machine. That's it. Delete this new registry entry to reverse the process. Olaudah Equiano [also known as Gustavus Vassa] was born circa 1745 and is considered as one of the most prominent Africans involved in the British movement for the abolition of the slave trade. Equiano was himself enslaved when he was a child and was made to work as a slave with many European slave traders. In 1765 he bought his freedom and he started to narrate his own horrific experiences as a slave and the evils of the slave trade at a large number of public meetings throughout England and Ireland. He published his own autobiography named "The Interesting Narrative of the Life of Olaudah Equiano" in 1789. It was the first influential slave autobiography and became a fuel for the already growing anti-slavery movement in England.
