I think my computer ma have a virus, someone told me if I run my recovery dvd-rom that came with the computer this will get read of it, is this true? I don't have any photos or music stored on it. Thanks Sammy. |

| Buy or download a free virus protection package and run it. This will detain any virus you may have and will keep you virus free from then on. AVG free is a good freebie one and Kaspersky is a good one that costs money. |

If you're not worried about losing any pictues, videos, music etc... yes, using the restore cd will completely reinstall Windows and guarantee you are free from infections. Anit-virus software is not a guarantee but it's a better alternative to try first if you have files you want to save. |
