If I have not signed the agreement for my current account are my bank able to charge me the overdraft fee's??

Discuss this question

Question found in Banking & Finance
Most likely, yes.

Your use of the account acknowledges the agreement to a certain degree even if you haven't signed the papers yet.

If you wrote checks that caused an overdraft, the bank is certainly due their fees for your error(s).

My due to be ex-husband has delayed my divorce by not signing the consent form. He also stopped paying maintenance and the CSA are now chasing him weekly for card payments. He said he had seeked the advice of a financial advisor following him getting a substantial pay rise in April. I believe he has ploughed all this into his pension so that he doesn't have to pay additional maintenance. The CSA have now requested info from his employers and depending on whatever that is they are going to do a new schedule and a deductions from earnings order. Is he allowed to plough all his payrise into his pension fund or is there a limit? The CSA are not very helpful and forthcoming with information!

Question found in Divorce Law
If what has occurred is not allowable or can be challenged in court, your attorney/solicitor will know how to proceed. (You refer to CSA which is generally U.K., I am in the U.S. and our laws may be similar but different.)

If you don't have one, you NEED one! One who specializes in this sort of thing. The expense will be justifiable if only to give you peace of mind.

Many (in the U.S.) will do an initial consult at minimal or no charge. Be prepared to bring all possible documentation. Do not just show up with suppositions, accusations, theories and a sob story. They need facts, hard facts. If they have to dig the facts for you, their charges will reflect that work. Depending upon your income and marital property laws in your area, it is entirely possible that he may be responsible for your attorney's fee. CHECK ON THIS!

Start keeping a written notebook of all conversations relating to this matter, with the date and time noted as well as the names of everyone present.

Documentation, documentation, documentation.

This may sound like a pain in the backside, but the more work you make the attorney perform, the higher their fee and this information may be necessary to make your case.

Depending upon the marital/community property laws in your area, you and/or the child(ren) may even be eligible for part of his pension if you are not yet divorced.

Comments :
Thanks for your advice. I do have a solicitor, and don't pay for my advice as I get legal aid, due to my low income. He meanwhile is on a substantial income. I have got the house, he has his pension, but with having to chase him up for maint - no money to run the house. He was the one who cheated

I am sad that infidelity is an issue. That may be what led to the divorce, but now you have to move on to property and financial settlement. Infidelity is usually not an issue regarding division of property and you cannot allow your judgment to be affected by any thought or appearance of revenge.

Set your animosities aside and be ruthless but fair. Don't quickly agree to something because it sounds like a good deal. Think it through. Something may sound good at the moment. Stop and think what it will mean as the children get older. The value of his pension today may be a fraction of its value in ten years if you can claim a portion of it. What was contributed during your marriage may be seen as "community property" and you may have a claim on future value (as a percentage).

If your demands include any appearance of revenge, they will be discounted. They have to be reasonable and fair.

Stay focused on only that and you will think more clearly. This is all about providing for you and your children. Not just now, but for many years to come.

Best of luck.

My question is, Ive been with my employer for about 5 years and I'm currently off work due to a mental illness I developed 2 years ago, my job was still secure until Wednesday when my employer visited me at home to tell me I have now been made redundant along with others due to him going bankrupt am, I entitled to any money?

Question found in Human Rights
If your employment was terminated for reasons other than misconduct, you may be eligible for unemployment compensation. Eligibility usually requires that you are available for work and actively seeking work.

If you are disabled and in the U.S., you might be eligible for Social Security Disability Income. This is not a quick process, though. From initial application and (almost automatic) denial, through appeal and (almost automatic) denial through at least one court appearance (possible denial), you could spend up to two years obtaining benefits.

Is call recording illegal?

Discuss this question

Question found in Internet Technology
It depends on the laws where you live and you neglected to include that information.

In some U.S. states, you can record a phone call if one party is aware that the call is being recorded. In other states, all parties must be made aware of and agree to permit recording.

In other countries, it could vary between total prohibition and total freedom.

hi, Ive recently noticed some red bumps in my vaginal area, I'm sexually active and do shave. The bumps are irritating and itchy and I need to know what they are. Can I give these to my boyfriend and how can I get rid of them? thanks, Ems

Discuss this question

Question found in Women's Health
Shaving bumps are not uncommon. These are often caused by coarse hair, especially if you are black, Middle Eastern, Indian or similar.

They are not contagious, but they can harbor infections that can be shared (very unlikely, but possible).

Consider a depilatory cream or similar instead of shaving if bumps are a problem.

If you want to be really involved, let your partner help. This can be just as erogenous as foreplay.

Hi Because I am flying over the USA I have been told I must leave my suitcases unlocked to enable them to be searched, I assume at Gatwick when I fly out and Barbados when I fly home.

Is this correct?

Discuss this question

Question found in Tourism & Travel
Much will depend upon the security rules in the country of your departure.

If unlocked, suitcases could be subject to theft of content. If locking is prohibited, this is the risk you take.

If locked, I would strongly suggest that the luggage tags feature the number of the cell phone in your pocket. If inspection is necessary, they can contact you rather than hold your bags or cut them open for inspection.

I fly with firearm(s) in my checked luggage and never have any problems.

Hi

I am software professional. Age 23. Indian. I’ve been in relationship since 1 year with a girl from my friends group. We share healthy relations except one thing. She is not happy about my past, though she knows everything about it, even I haven’t hide anything from her. I ll tell you something about my past. During first year of my college I used to like one girl. I was all time under limelight person of class. So every small issue was going to be big matter. So almost all nice looking girl was paired by my classmates with me. But real problem is here, before meeting my girlfriend I used to talk with one girl from same group so other girls from that group used to tease her in front of my girlfriend (during college days). My girlfriend also thinks that I used to like her, and my behavior also suggest the same. But fact is that I never liked that girl. So the problem is that my girlfriend is repeatedly quarreling with me. I don’t know to convince her. I accept in front of her that my past is certainly not acceptable. Though she is not able to forget it, even she is trying the same, but many times it hurts her. So please give me some suggestions regarding my problem?

Thank you.

-silam

Your command of English is wanting, but I will try.

Relationships are based upon mutual trust.

If she will not trust you, your feelings don't matter.

If you can win her trust, do not betray it.

Unfortunately, many cultures (e.g.: Indian) consider all previous relationships an absolute factor as if not transient. If she will not let this go, it is time to find another potential partner.

Gravity pulls us to earth but theirs an opposing force at work centrifugal force. Since earth spins faster around the equator then it does further north or south of this line would you basically weigh less standing on the equator?

Discuss this question

Question found in Physics
No such thing as centrifugal force.

It is gravity holding you on the planet and it is stronger than the acceleration of rotation that would toss you off. Same with a bucket of water swinging around your head. Acceleration holds the water in the bucket, the rope keeps it from flying away.

Look up centripetal force and score serious points with your instructor.

Comments :
Sweet! so their must have been a time of two seperate forces acting on a single point but since a body in motion stays in motion one force cancels out leaving (gravity) (two seperate forces merging into one)

Can I do something to increase the size of my penis. Do penis enlargement pills actually work?

Discuss this question

Question found in Personal Health Issues
Short of surgery, which is risky and often has extremely disappointing results, anything else is a waste of time, money and hope. Seriously.

Unless you have a serious condition, chances are it's just fine.
