How do I install a water pump in my car?

Without knowing exactly what kind of vehicle you have, this will be general.
Drain the cooling system, remove the drive belt from the water pump pulley, remove the bolts securing the water pump and remove the water pump. Clean the mating surface of the engine very well (scrape if necessary), install a new gasket with sealant on both sides, place the new water pump, install the bolts and drive belt, and refill the cooling system.
As long as the cooling system is drained, it only costs a few more dollars in parts to replace the thermostat (similar technique). Also check for bad radiator, heater and coolant recovery bottle hoses and replace as necessary before refilling the cooling system.

Can a condo trustee "evict" an unreasonable owner? I thought this was laughable when I heard it could be true. How far do the rights of elected condo trustees go in this case? Do they have that kind of power!?

| Question found in Real Estate Law |
 |
Much will depend upon the covenants on the title to the property granting authority to the trust or homeowner's association and what behavior is considered "unreasonable owner".
Generally, these are governed by boards elected by the homeowners and operating under a published set of by-laws. The trust or association is often managed by select individuals, however, an action as serious as you suggest is not likely on the decision of a single individual (trustee) and usually requires board approval that includes the owner's opportunity to appear and present their position.
A condo owner cannot necessarily be evicted (as with rental property), but it may be possible that they can be forced to sell or at least vacate the premises within a reasonable period of time. Approval of the new owner cannot be unreasonably withheld.
This is a real estate contract dispute and could require a court of law or independent arbitrator (depending on the agreement terms) for a final resolution.
Trusts and homeowner's associations are often populated with busybodies who have little better upon which to spend their time. They often delight in determining how others should conduct their lives. Their board meetings can be slightly less favorable than a kangaroo court and their decisions can be inconsistent with law or equity and they often take a very liberal view of their authority and by-laws.
Courts and independent arbitrators tend to be more even-handed, but it might not be a bad idea to consider selling. This could be an ongoing headache.

I'me retired and I was told that I have a lien om my 401K but they didn't tell me why. What can I do?
|
|
Discuss this question
|
| Question found in Legal Other |
 |
The 401k is your property in the custody of another. You have every right to know what encumbrances (lien) have been placed upon it, buy whom and and for what reason, if any reason was provided.
Otherwise, knowing by whom should be a good clue because you probably owe them money. Liens are official claims against the property and cannot be placed without a confession of judgment (in a contract) or a court order following a hearing at which you were offered the opportunity to appear.

Me and my husband separated two years ago and are going to get divorced. We have two young kids together and he pays regular child maintenance and has them two nights a week. When we separated I stayed in the marital home and he moved out but he could not afford to pay the mortgage and the rent on his flat so we sold the house and divided the profits fifty fifty. He brought a new house on his own and i have been renting a house. When we get a divorce will I be entitled to more money from him ie fifty percent of his new house?

A great deal will depend on the family laws in your area and you neglected to say where that is.
Generally, if you divided the proceeds of the house fifty-fifty, that issue will probably be closed.
However, his income and yours are still marital assets until you are divorced. You each still have some claim on any property acquired subsequent to the marriage date, but I doubt that you can expect fifty percent of the value of his house. Much of its initial cost was from a fifty-fifty division of a marital asset in contemplation of divorce. That you chose to rent instead of buy (no asset) does not impose any particular obligation on him. You are living as if divorced and the court could likely view any transactions during that period in that light.

Sometimes at roadworks, a line of orange lights turn on and off in sequence, giving an impression of movement. How is this done as the individual lights don't appear to be connected.

| Question found in Miscellaneous |
 |
Each lamp has a timer controlling its on/off sequence.
Most likely, this is a random occurrence. The timing of the flashing just seems to be organized. If you go by later, the flashes may all appear to be random.
If the timers in each lamp are very uniform, it is possible that the workers simply started the lamps on an organized basis. The on/off switches on these are usually hidden to prevent tampering, but they can be operated as easily as a room light switch if you know how. It would not be difficult for workers to activate the lamps to flash in a sequence.

Coumadin is a clot-blocking drug and bruises are broken blood vessels.
Ice would probably not hurt. A call to your doctor would be best.

I have apply loan in a pvt. bank. The loan sanctioned but by chance my requirement was end. Can bank charge with me early payment charges?
|
|
Discuss this question
|
| Question found in Legal Other |
 |
Repaying some loans early will include precomputed interest and service charges that the lender expected to earn if you repaid the loan within its terms over time.
Other loans can be repaid at any time without penalties, but may still involve some origination fees and other charges that were incurred to issue the loan.
Your situation will depend upon the terms in your loan agreement and they should be spelled out clearly enough such that you can perform the calculations yourself.

Me and this so called friends know each other for years, but for a while now, his always trying to put me down, always tries to correct me, and everything I say, he tries to prove me wrong even if its a simple, " it might rain today" comment, he will freaking go online, and try to prove it wont. Not to Mention, I get a feeling that he lacks self confidence, and tries to use me as a punching bag to gain whatever his trying to get back, he betrayed my trust a few times in the past, but came back, crawling, and ran with it in a way, that didn't make it look like it was his fault. I am getting tired of this, he use to be a decent person, but he changed, what should I do ?

Hi, I Just turned 22 years old, 6 weeks ago. and I always had a a weird anxiety feeling about my life. Some days I feel OK, some days I feel angry, short period of depression, loss of hope, and I don't know what else I can do to make this feeling go away. I keep dwelling over past, getting angry, arguments with parents. I don't feel like myself around other people, and some friends. When I was younger I didn't get a chance to socialize as much, like most people around me did I blame this mostly due to not having a car, so I couldn't get a job, make money, go out, I was home most of the time and I feel like that held me back from experiencing life to the fullest, and getting life experience out of living, majority of my time was at home, I was bored all the time, felt like I wasn't worth anything, felt like every time I met someone later on they wouldn't take me seriously as a person or try to put me down, felt like people wouldn't accept me. I had home school after 10th grade, and even made my chances worse of meeting or making new friends, missed out on having fun, going to party's, and every little thing teens do in high school, basically experiencing life to the fullest and now I'm just peed off because I feel like I lost those years of my life and will never be able to get it back, never will be able to have a happy life or memory's, and its hurting me until now, I know this isn't normal, what can I do about it ?. Can someone give me some suggestions or advice to help me out?

While it cannot be conclusively diagnosed in this forum, your situation sounds as if clinical depression and/or anxiety might be involved. These can be a simple imbalance in brain chemistry and there are medications that can help. If so, it is unlikely that you can "snap out of it".
Find a therapist (psychologist) and spend some time with them. They can determine the probable causes of your difficulties and recommend treatment.
We can learn from our past and move forward or we can blame our past and continue to relive it. Life is ahead of you and you have choices.

My husband doesn't want to go to my company Christmas party. I personally really enjoy my work friends, and wish he would be more social. He tends to shy away from group events of any kind. Can I make him go, or do I need to suck it up and fly solo?

If you make him go, neither of you will have a good time.
If neither of you are uncomfortable with it, go alone.
Otherwise, don't go, but don't blame him. It's as much your choice as his.
Old saying, but often true:
Men marry hoping the woman won't change and they do.
Women marry hoping the man will change and they don't.
