I was wanting to know if my mother being on birth control for the first 5 months of her pregnancy with me is the reason I can not get pregnant? |

This is very unlikely. The cause could be one of many possibles: Your age, family history (grandmother's), lifestyle or genetic etc. Even all four! Have a chat with your doctor to see if there could be any medical reasons to explain it. If it is your first then try and relax and let nature do its thing in its own time. Whatever the cause please try not to worry and believe that your body is faulty as it may not be. Sometimes trying too hard and getting anxious does more harm than good. Take care. |

Can I assume you are exercising? If the answer is yes then you may have found some muscles that you haven't used for a while? Although I suspect that I will need to leave that thought there;) If your job involves lifting and you are of a mature age then the above still counts, Just be careful and do not use seldom used muscles without a little care. If none of the above helps then take a closer look at your activities and see if there is anything there that may explain them. The bottom line is that if you are fit and healthy, don't smoke or use other social drugs then I don't think you need to worry. If in doubt give your doctor a shout or contact me with more info. You could try this American site although it does cost £15 for a year: http://undercoverdetective.com/register-options-target.php It says it found me and I left over 20 years ago! Why does a piece of meat still contain the same amount of protein as it did once it was chewed? |

Chewing doesn't dissolve protein although saliva does help to start digestion. It isn't until the food item has been through the stomach and has had all the nutrients, including proteins, energy etc, removed will it contain less proteins. By which time it wont be a piece of meat, or look like or smell like a piece either. So all the boys reading this will be shouting great and all the girls will be going eeeerrrrggggggh! Regards |

Assuming that you have Discoid Lupus Erythematosus (DLE) then I would suggest that you seek medical help immediately to make sure that you do not have the more serious condition Systemic Lupus Erythematosus(SLE) as this affects important bodily systems like your Kidneys etc which could explain your symptoms mentioned above. They may of course be caused by something else entirely but you still need to get it checked out. I wish you well. Regards |

It comes down to sperm and egg. Some breeds of dog are compatible enough to breed across subspecies but the divide between goose and chicken is just too far. Being birds isn't enough for them to be able or aware that it is even possible. |

I have a fear of death. Not other peoples death but my own, and the topic of death has been coming up more often than it used to in school and conversations with my friends. Its starting to affect the way Ive been thinking lately. What can I do to over come this fear? I've been able to over come all my other fears but this one is different for some reason? |

I suspect that if you have learnt ways to handle your other fears then they have now hijacked your last remaining one, so this has more importance to you then it should have. Firstly take a moment to give yourself a pat on the back, you certainly deserve it! Then look at how you achieved what you have, you must have learnt ways to keep your fears under control and you must have realised that they are just fears, so they do not have any logical basis or purpose. Keep focused on your positives, remind yourself of them every day and every minute if necessary. Visualise how you will feel when you are at last free of this last one. How your life will open up and new opportunities await you. You know you can do this my friend, I know you can and every person who reads this wants you to as well. Take a deep breath, shout tally ho and give it your best shot. Do not look back, ever! Kind regards |
