Arm feels weird after giving blood and it is black and blue and there is a bump where the needle went in and that is white, do I have any concerns with this?

Discuss this question

Question found in Health & Fitness In General
Sounds about right, you may just bruise easily. Unless your arm starts to get pins and needles and feel numb I wouldn't worry too much.

Why it is important to agree aims, objectives and deadlines?

Discuss this question

Question found in Jobs & Careers
So everyone present knows what is expected of them and by what timescale they will be judged by.

Aims means what targets will be achieved, like beating the sales record.
Objective means, what means will achieve that aim, like increasing phone calls to prospective customers.
And deadlines mean just that, by what date this will happen by.

I have slight burning on urination and I have to urinate frequently.

I don't feel I've emptied my bladder and it feels as if I want to rush to the loo all the time.

My doctor has given me Cefradine 250mgfor 5 days. I've only got 1 days' supply left and I feel no change in my condition. What should I do now?

Discuss this question

Question found in Health & Fitness In General
You are on antibiotics now so maybe you just need another weeks worth. Go back and have a chat with your doctor and see what he says. He may extend your prescription or send you for further tests. Either way don't worry about it it will sort itself out just give it some time.

What does child helpline do?

Discuss this question

Question found in People & Relationships In General
It helps children by advising them on issues or problems that they may want to explore without any fear of anyone finding out unless they choose it.
The lines are confidential but if Childline feels that the child is in danger then they may have guidelines to help resolve those situations.

I hope that helps

Our Grandson age 17, left his home and came directly to our home because of constant emotional stress. He does not want to go back to his mother. What rights do we have to let him stay here for a while? She refuses to let him have any of his clothes to go to school........JAM

Discuss this question

Question found in Parenting & Family In General
Legally none at the moment.
I suspect that his Mum is feeling a little guilt and anger at being responsible for him coming to you so she is acting distant.
Try and help her talk about her issues and problems, it might be the case that your Grandson is a little too sensitive so until you can see the bigger picture tread carefully. Do more listening than talking find out whats is going on. You might find that it will all blow over soon anyway.

Can you have good etiquette but still have bad manners?

Discuss this question

Question found in Miscellaneous
Yes.
Etiquette is knowing where and in what order your knives and forks go. When to ask questions to the opposite sex or knowing when not to burp or fart at the table, bad manners is not following those guidelines and doing that anyway, although in Russia that is considered a compliment to the chef.

What is a good question?

Discuss this question

Question found in Miscellaneous
Rhetorically, that one!

A good question is one that has not been asked, is so obvious that it should have been already, or makes every one feel that it should have been them that had asked it!

Like yours really! :)

How to handle daughter telling you she's a lesbian?

Discuss this question

Question found in Parenting & Family In General
Hi,
With an open mind! It is not an easy thing to do to share something like this when you are not really sure what the parents expectations are going to be or their reactions to something like this.

Be happy for her but be honest as well. It may take you a little time to adjust so she can't expect you to be able to welcome her partner as though it is as normal for you as it is for her. You maybe curious about some aspects so don't feel that it may not be right to ask them. If you feel that some behaviour is inappropriate then voice your opinions tactfully.

I wish all of you the very best.

What should you do if you inhale pepper spray?

Discuss this question

Question found in Health & Fitness In General
Your body will decide for you. You will sneeze and your eyes will weep. You may also have coughing and wheezing depending if you suffer from anything like asthma. Once it has subsided you should be OK.

Now the real question is why did you?
