Don't do anything that will jeopardize your future or livelihood. I know it sounds sarcastic, but it is the best medicine. I personally don't have a problem with pot but I do IF you are employed by someone who puts you in charge of the safety and well being of others such as a doctor, lawyer, pilot, cabbie, truck driver, electrician, allowed to carry a weapon, have a drivers license, supervise children.........etcetera. We all have quirks, it's when responsibility and competence takes over that you will really get the picture.........no offense intended and with great respect, I hope this helps.

Capacitors hold virtually an unlimited supply of voltage and when someone or something shorts that out, it can be very dangerous or very painful. I assume that there is a problem within the unit already, so you should not plug it back up to a wall socket and have a pro electronics tech at your local music store take a look at it. It may even be worth repairing since capacitors are very inexpensive.

Hello, can we dig up a small pine or fir tree from our land at 6,000 feet elevation and re-plant it (successfully) on our property at 4,500 feet elevation? If so, how must we do it? (High Sierras - California) Thank You so much. L & J

I have always heard (by pro's) that if you are going to transplant a tree, do it in February. Most pines have one large "tap root" going straight down from the trunk with the smaller ones in the shallow ground around it, (beware of hibernating snakes). I would go deep below that tap root and about the same diameter as the depth. A machine called a Bobcat,"skid steer loader" has an attachment that will do most of the work. Check with your equipment rental guy.

Not anymore. I offer a very large discount for schools, teachers, law enforcement, churches, etc., in my area. I do it because it makes me upset to see anyone that would charge 120 bucks an hour for this. I do it for around 10 bucks but only by word of mouth.

Why do hands and feet go wrinkly in the bath but nowhere else does?

There are more bones and joints in the hands and feet because of their dexterity but with all of this movement comes the ability of the skin to stretch to accommodate this. That's why it also shrinks. Ever wonder why a person loses their fingers, toes, etc., when frostbite attacks. The skin on the extremities is capable of absorbing water just about as much as the rest of the body but there is very little protection around the hands and and feet because of their disposition to the elements.

I had a situation once where I could not hire enough trained people in time to do a large job that was going to take several months to complete. I asked my manager's permission to hire 1 experienced contractor, (1 person out of work), because I saw how he could train his own people in a smaller project many years ago at another company in which I got to know him well. My boss helped me to convince him to start his own company and within 3 weeks he had staffed our positions and completed the job on time and within budget in the allotted time. After this, he went on to bigger jobs for us and several other companies, saving us in hiring, training, fleet cost, tools, safety gear and so on.

Is it possible to get a 5 leaf clover, and if so how rare are they?

My wife is an expert at finding them. The only way I can figure it out is that she can detect minute changes in the masses of them in the yard. They are considered rarer than a four-leaf clover and generally about the same amount of luck. I have no knowledge of actual statistics on the rareness but I'm sure someone here will be able to help on this question.
