Say a signal with a (continuous) spectrum in Amp(dBV) Vs Freq (Hz) is passed through an amplifier with frequency response spectrum Gain(dB) Vs Freq (Hz) how do I convert dBV to dB even though there is no current given to show a resulting signal of the spectrum?

Discuss this question

Question found in Technology In General
If I am reading your question correctly, you are looking for dBmV or dBuV. It is still a current, but very hard to read without the proper equipment and even harder to calculate without knowing the operating parameters that you are experiencing such as cable type or direct line of sight, loss at frequency, noise floor, active or passive device noise properties, spectrum being broadband or single channel/voltage? I have been away from this field for a while now but any additional info you can provide may help me help you.

Hard disk is undetected, it shows (Boot Code - HANARO 2 ENG)

Check your bios and see if the date or any other config changes have occured. sometimes a power hard shutdown will produce this inadvertently. If the drive is not in the list, then try to autodetect or load optimized defaults. If your hard drive has definitely crashed, verify this with a good tech before anything happens to your data. All hope may not be lost as you can sometimes extract data if, for instance, you have a software meltdown versus a mechanical problem. Your local reputable PC repair shop will have the experience with this type of problem.

Go to microsoft.com and type the update error code and it will explain what steps to take in resolving the issue. Sometimes either automatic updates must be turned off temporarily and windows installer may need to be re-installed to do this, also, if you have installed service pack 3, then you will possibly have to uninstall it from the control panel. There are several serious issues with sp3 and ms has once again released it with errors. Good luck.

Try uninstalling aol and see if that is the problem. If you have aol, it tends to dominate your computer creating a lot of "virtual hardware". Most of the time aol will work fine unless you have disk space issues or RAM limitations. Good luck.

I am trying to have faith even the size of a mustard seed, but it isn't happening. I pray to God when there is a problem, but otherwise, I find myself vacillating between believing, even a tiny bit, and not. I think that trying to develop a "relationship" with God is private, and lonely. Reading the Bible doesn't interest me, it is a book of stories and parables. What does this seeking mean, and do you think I might ever cross that chasm of uncertainty by taking that leap of faith?

Choosing your battles is half the fight. David struggled with his older brother because he was inexperienced, had no armor, and no modern weapons. He did, however, defeat the giant. This was even after being teased by the army and his brother. He also walked away at first, then returned and killed the giant with one stone.

Some of us hear what we want to hear and see only what we want to see. Look through someone else's eyes at your situation and it may give you more insight. Faith is not really meant to be lonely. It is to be in awe of what you have, thankful for what you've been given, and for those things you will receive. God hears us but sometimes we can't hear HIM because we are sometimes doing all of the talking and not listening. Good luck.

Recently my laptop has started heating up very fast. The cabinet which contains the fan, the hard disk cabinet are among the most heated ones. Average time it takes to heat up is approx. 30 min.

Is anything wrong with it...?

Discuss this question

Question found in Hardware
Sometimes laptops, as well as desktops, will get dust inside the vents which will clog them. Often, you can carefully apply pressurized air through the intake and blow the loose stuff out. This doesn't always get the debris around the fan/assembly, so the only other option is to carefully take it apart and clean it with a new soft bristle paint brush. Keep in mind that if you do this, you may need some heat sink compound to replace the old if the processor slips out with the fan assembly while cleaning it. Also, you may want to take photos of it as you are taking it apart. This will help you to remember how it is reassembled since it can be overwhelming sometimes.

Many people will set their laptop on a blanket or pillow while working in bed or on the sofa. This common design flaw will also block the intake and exhaust, causing it to overheat and shut down as a safety mechanism within the computer. If you will set the laptop in a manner that the vents are free to breathe, (even on a pillow or blanket), along with regular cleaning, it will prolong the life of the laptop as well.

Question found in Dogs In General
GSD's are very intelligent, loyal, eager to learn, and can be a handful if not cared for in a "routine", that they are comfortable with. If you set out doing any type of routine such as feeding, playing, sleeping, socialization, but you change it up too often, the GSD will do anything to let you know about it, including unwanted behavior. You have got a very loyal, trusting dog as long as you take time to get him used to you, family and friends. He will become the best dog imaginable.

This dog will also guard and defend your family to the death as long as you are good to it. Children should not be left alone with any large breed because they have a tendency to aggravate animals when grown-ups are not watching. Mostly, as a GSD owner, you would socialize, house train, establish a set playtime and be diligent regarding sleep patterns and feeding. The dog will try to play very often but you should make all of the rules as to when these activities begin and end. This can be challenging as he will become very large. He will always look to you for all direction.

Let him lead while you follow when walking as he will tend to herd everyone by constantly looking back to see if you are following, including other pets, in a "protect mode", which is his nature and he enjoys it. Try to let him do this as he is a working dog. You will want to walk him on a leash as long as he doesnt pull you, which he probably won't try again after his first walk with your instruction.

Some GSD's seem to take to instruction in different languages better and it also makes it hard for anyone who doesn't know this to try and trick him, such as a burglar, etc. I speak in German to mine and she seems to understand it better, and it presents her with a challenge, which all GSD's enjoy so this may work for you as well. They also seem to understand hand gestures very well, (no vocals), as you may discover very early in his life. Search the Internet and you will find lots of info regarding GSD's. It will give you insight as to how these dogs behave as he will be much enjoyment for you and your family. Good luck with the best friend you can possibly have. I know that I will always consider my GSD as one of the most rewarding experiences I've had.

Question found in Computers For Beginners
Try "F8" on startup to get to "safe mode". go to control panel, users, and see if it is possible to change there. If not, very carefully, go to start, run, type"control userpasswords2" and see if you can locate or disable it from there. Use with caution and good luck.

You didn't indicate whether your connection failed or if your taking this extra step in order to connect? My first thought would be to uninstall your network and/or modem drivers in the control panel, reboot, and let windows locate and reassign them. You may also have to go into tools in internet explorer and clean up your web history and remove cookies. A good virus scan would be the next step then see what happens. Good luck.

How do I change the oil and spark plugs on a Yamaha dragster 1100?

Discuss this question

Question found in Motorcycles
My experience with a similar bike would be to remove the lower exhaust first and move it out of the way. Facing forward, on the right side of the engine there is a plate with 3 bolts above the floorboard/peg located below the air filter which doesn't have to be removed separately from the underlying plate, it should come off as one "unit". Your oil filter is inside this location and insert the new one exactly as removing the old one, otherwise you will block the oil flow to the engine. Be sure to rub a small amount of new oil onto the rubber gasket on the new filter before inserting When draining the old oil, raise the bike on a sturdy stand or create a ditch below it so you can loosen the drain plug and leak it into a shallow container, (approx. 3.8 quarts). The fill plug is located on the left front side of the engine at 2 o'clock of the alternator cover. There is a oil window below the alternator cover/floorboard/peg on the shifter side. Fill the engine with the correct oil while pausing occasionally until it fills by sight into 3/4 of the window. Careful to not overfill. Good luck.
