The best way to make a steamed treacle pudding is beat together 4 oz of caster sugar and 2oz of butter. Then add 2 eggs making sure they don't curdle (if they do add a little flour). Then gently fold in 4 oz of flour ( don't beat as this lets out all the air you have put in). I sometimes put in 4 tablespoons of milk. Get a microwave proof dish, then put in as much treacle as you require. Add the mixture on top and then put in the microwave for about 3-5 mins depending on the watt of your microwave. Test to see if it is cooked by putting a skewer inside to test the mixture is done. Once cooked take out bowl, put a plate on the top and turn the mixture upside down.
